The main lubricating oil pump assembly plays a vital role in the accessories of mining machinery and equipment, and its functions mainly include the following points:
Transportation of lubricating oil: The main function of the main lubricating oil pump is to transport lubricating oil from the oil pan or oil tank to the parts that need lubrication, such as engines, gears and other mechanical parts. This helps to keep these parts clean and prolong their service life.
Maintain oil pressure stability: the main oil pump is usually installed coaxially with the rotor of the steam turbine, which needs to have the characteristics of large flow, low outlet head and stable oil pressure. Its head-flow characteristic curve should be gentle to ensure stable oil supply to the turbine governing system and bearing bush under different working conditions.
Discharge system impurities: During operation, the lubricating oil pump can help discharge impurities and dirt deposited in the lubricating system and ensure the smooth flow of the lubricating system.
Backup system: When the main oil pump is in normal operation, there is usually an oiler to provide 0.05-0.1Mpa pressure oil to the inlet of the main oil pump. When the rotor is stationary or starting, the starting oil pump (centrifugal oil pump) will operate as a substitute pump for the main oil pump to ensure the supply of oil for the regulating system. After the standby group enters the working speed, the starting oil pump will stop running as a backup.
Ensure the normal operation of the equipment: when the unit is in normal operation, the lubricating oil is supplied through the oiler. When the unit starts or the oiler fails, the auxiliary oil pump (gear oil pump) will be put into operation to ensure the normal supply of turbine lubricating oil. In the case of loss of auxiliary power or failure of auxiliary oil pump, the emergency oil pump (steam oil pump) will be started to ensure the smooth shutdown of the unit.
