In mining machinery and equipment, the main function of eccentric shaft is to realize the conversion between rotary motion and reciprocating linear motion through eccentric transmission between shafts. Its core functions and characteristics are as follows:
First, Core functions
Motion conversion
The eccentric shaft can convert the rotary motion of the motor into the reciprocating linear motion of the linkage mechanism, or vice versa. For example, in the jaw crusher, the eccentric shaft drives the thrust plate to reciprocate through the connecting rod, thus realizing the crushing and discharging of materials.
Center distance adjustment
Through the eccentric hole design, the eccentric shaft can flexibly adjust the center distance between shafts to meet the structural requirements of different equipment and avoid transmission failure caused by equipment installation errors.
Second, the structural characteristics
The two axes are parallel but not coincident: the outer circle is parallel to the axis of the inner hole but not coincident, and the shaft is positioned through the eccentric hole.
Compound motion ability: it can not only transmit rotary motion, but also realize revolution (such as the vibration function of eccentric wheel).
Third, typical application scenarios
Jaw crusher
The eccentric shaft is used to drive the connecting rod to do reciprocating motion to realize the crushing and unloading of materials.
Fourth, matters needing attention
Wear problem: sliding bearings and other components are easy to cause eccentric shaft wear, which needs regular maintenance and replacement.
Machining requirements: it is necessary to accurately align the eccentric part during machining to avoid the influence of axis deviation on performance.
