A Contactor refers to an electrical appliance that uses a current to flow through a coil to generate a magnetic field in industrial electricity, so that the contacts are closed, so as to control the load.
Contactor consists of electromagnetic system, contact system and arc extinguishing device. It has the advantages of large control capacity, low voltage release protection, long service life and remote control, so it is widely used in electrical control systems.
The contact system of contactor can be driven by electromagnet, compressed air or liquid pressure, so it can be divided into electromagnetic contactor, pneumatic contactor and hydraulic contactor.
Its principle is that when the electromagnetic coil of the contactor is energized, it will produce a strong magnetic field, which will make the static iron core generate electromagnetic attraction to attract the armature and drive the contact to act: the normally closed contact is disconnected; Normally open contacts are closed, and they are linked. When the coil is powered off, the electromagnetic attraction disappears, and the armature is released under the action of the release spring, so that the contact is restored, the normally closed contact is closed, and the normally open contact is disconnected.
