Check valve, also known as check valve and one-way valve, is an automatic valve used to prevent medium from flowing backwards, leaking and motor from reversing.
The principle of check valve, in a popular way, is to stop the medium from flowing in the opposite direction through the valve. Generally, this kind of valve is automatic. As long as the medium flows in the same direction, the valve will automatically open when it senses the fluid pressure. Once it senses the reverse flow of the medium and changes the pressure direction, the valve will automatically open.
The function of check valve is mainly as follows:
1 .to prevent the reverse flow of liquid.
2. Prevent the pump and drive motor from running in reverse.
3. Prevent the leakage of liquid in the container.
4. When the pressure exceeds the system pressure, the check valve can provide a supply pipeline.
Installation position of check valve: Different types of check valves have different installation positions.
1. Lift check valve: straight-through type is installed on the horizontal pipeline and vertical type is installed on the riser.
2. Bottom valve: installed on the vertical pipeline.
3. Swing check valves: most of them are installed on horizontal pipes, and some of them are installed on risers, so the medium flows from bottom to top.
Precautions for installation of check valve:
1. The check valves in the pipeline can't bear the weight, especially the relatively large check valves should be installed independently and can't be affected by the pressure generated by the system.
2. The direction marked on the valve body should be the same as the direction of medium flow.
3. Lift check valve: vertically installed on the vertical pipeline and horizontally installed on the horizontal pipeline.
