Synchronization:
Gear ring is usually used in fully synchronous transmission, which realizes the synchronization of gears through friction.
The inner conical surface of the gear ring contacts with the outer conical surface of the gear ring to be engaged, resulting in friction torque, which quickly reduces the gear speed to be equal to that of the synchronous locking ring.
Locking action:
The design of the gear ring includes the locking angle. When the inner conical surface contacts with the outer conical surface, it will have a locking effect to prevent the gears from meshing before synchronization.
Prevent lubricating oil pollution:
In some cases, the gear ring may be used to prevent the lubricating oil from splashing into the bearing, because the lubricating oil may take away the grease and affect the normal operation of the bearing.
The oil baffle ring is installed on the gear shaft, and its diameter is usually 1mm smaller than the bearing mounting hole, and an annular groove is designed on the circumference to help guide the lubricating oil and prevent it from entering the bearing.
